Just heard in the [news](http://twitchfilm.com/2014/11/legendary-japanese-actor-takakura-ken-dead-at-83.html) that legendary actor [Ken Takakura](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0847264/) has died from malignant lymphoma. ☹ ---

RIP. I’ve only seen a few of his movies but I always liked him. I remember seeing Black Rain in the theater, and I saw The Yellow Handkerchief not too long ago. ---

Bummer. I really liked him in “The Yakuza”. I saw “The Yakuza” back when it first came out (on the wave of kung-fu movies), and thought it was “okay”. But then recently, I watched it again, and there is a LOT more going on than just the action. Overall a really good movie, and good historical/period kind of story.
