I don’t think you are second class. I think you and I share different views on a number of issues, but I would not choose to limit your rights or marginalize you in any way. ---

Before this goes much farther somebody is going to have to explain to me, in simple and direct language if you please, just what I am required to do to show this admirable solidarity with our now duly elected temporary head of the executive branch of the federal government. Once I know that I can tell you whether I’m going along with it or not. Is there some personal oath of loyalty that is prescribed for the purpose? Must I quit being a evil trial lawyer? Should I go buy a Hummer? A semi-auto AK- 47 with a 30 round magazine, maybe? Shall I pledge my self in perpetual support of every cock-a-mammee impulse and wild hair our President relieves himself of? Should I nominate Carl Rove for the Baseball Hall of Fame? What in the Hell am I suppose to do? ---

That’s precisely what you chose to do if you voted for Bush, who ran a campaign that featured rampant gay baiting and gay bashing and which won on the coattails of an anti-gay amendment. Bush voters are bigoted filth. ---

But, frankly, I am not holding my breath. ---

It’s amazing, ever since Bush won the strangest thing happened to me when I woke up! I hated abortion, homosexuals, Europeans, and democrats. I had a strong desire to listen to country music and came around to the fact that there really are a lot of schools being built in Iraq. Oh wait… I won’t be with Bush until he does something that I like. I am actually open-minded that he may actually do that, but he hasn’t come around yet. ---

Gay rights did not come into my decision making process at all. I guess it is fair to say my concerns over terrorism and the tax cuts trumped my concerns over gay marriage. But that does not make me a bigot. If you knew me, you wouldn’t feel this way about me. ---
