For me he _was_ Batman. Even when I read the comics I hear his voice. RIP (One caveat. I saw this news on Twitter. With the current chaos there there is a slight chance this was a hoax but I don’t think so). ---

I had no idea he was ill. Wikipedia now says that it was cancer, but I haven’t seen any confirmation otherwise. Something that I didn’t know until recently (I knew him as Batman, of course, but I don’t remember seeing him in anything else beforehand) was that he was gay. This is very sad news. I’m going to go and rewatch B:TAS and JL/JLU. I am glad that he did get to portray Batman once in live action. ---
