Two things: Spacey went to ridiculous lengths to deny his gay behaviour long after public attitudes warranted. The one that comes to mind was assaulting (not sexually in his telling) a young man in a park in London during his Old Vic tenure. The park was known as a hook-up spot for gay men. Spacey claimed he was walking his dog at 2 a.m. when the fellow passed him. He shortly noticed his watch was missing and assumed the young man had stolen it. He later found it as was terribly embarrassed by the whole misunderstanding. Secondly, he’s been known to mentor young actors, including a scholarship to one to drama school. Now I can’t think about that without stomach-churning. ---

It must be mad to live in a world where everything is about politics and them damn liberals/conservatives depending on what bubble you live in. This is about power, influence and lots of other things that aren’t easy to fix or dismiss as the other political side’s issue. That’s what Weinstein, Cosby, O’Reilly, Ailes and Spacey have in common not their voting record. People have and will protect people like this but it’s out of self interest not out of political beliefs. That the demonisation of all sides has come this far is depressing to say the least because sexual assault and the treatment of women is a huge problem and your kind of thinking will never solve anything ever. ---
