Well, _The Romans in Scotland_ was somewhat interesting overall but definitely needed better maps. If anyone’s interested, he comes up with a site not far from Perth just south of Moncrieffe Hill for the battle.

The Crowley book, _Flint and Mirror_, also went done; I ended up liking it a lot. The time covered is the [Nine Years War](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine_Years%27_War) in Ireland as the English forces finally defeat an Irish attempt to regain control of the country.

And now I’m reading something much lighter than either of these books, _The Rosetta Man_ by **Claire McCague**. A very special pest control expert is called in to a top secret project to communicate with two aliens who have just landed on Earth. Lots of cliches but good fun!.

Finished _See What I’m Saying: The Extraordinary Powers of Our Five Senses_, by Lawrence D. Rosenblum, which was interesting.

Now I’m reading _The Shadow of the Empire_ by Qiu Xiaolong.

I finished _What Moves the Dead_ by T. Kingfisher aaaaaaand yeah that was Ursula all the way. I do have to say I enjoyed it more than I did _Mexican Gothic_. I’m a bit sad that all the science stuff she hinted at in the Afterword didn’t get into the book, but I understand her reasoning.
