Took a couple of minutes and read The Mysteries, Bill Watterson’s new picture book. With all due respect, I don’t know who is going to derive any satisfaction from this.

I’ve begun _The Prague Coup_, a graphic novel written by Jean-Luc Fromental and illustrated by Miles Hyman, the latter of whom did the pretty good graphic novel of Shirley Jackson’s _The Lottery,_ which I read a few months back. This book is about Graham Greene and the making of the classic post-WWII noir thriller _The Third Man_.

My current audiobook is _Eliot Ness: The Rise and Fall of an American Hero_ by Douglas Perry, a bio of the _Untouchables_ superstar lawman who never quite lived up to his early fame.

Both are good so far.

Finished _Kinfolk Wilderness_, edited by John Burns et al. It’s a travel book about more obscure places to visit. Interesting, with stunning photographs.

Now I’m reading _Emergent Properties_ by Aimee Ogden, which is a science fiction novella.
