Khadaji’s Whatcha Reading Thread - September 2023 edition

I finished Cover Up by E.M. Lindsey, the third in their second Irons and Works series. It was a serviceable romance, nothing to write home about sadly.

A couple days ago I finished A Nobleman’s Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel by K. J. Charles, the 2nd in her Doomsday series. Not quite as exciting or page turning as the first book but still a great read.

I am also listening to Biased by Jennifer L. Eberhart and read by her. So far the book is a collection of anecdotal evidence, summaries of studies and reminiscenes about workshops she’s lead. I basically summed up Chapter two with “DUH!” Reading it for my book club, but I doubt I’ll finish it.

New thread: crunch crunch Who is that walking thru the leaves behind me?

A bit premature there, what?

In the past week I’ve read Strong Poison, Unnatural Death, Have His Carcase, and Clouds of Witness, Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries by Dorothy L Sayers. Now reading In the Teeth of the Evidence, a collection of short stories (including two Wimseys) by Sayers.

I started listening to City On Fire by Don Winslow. It’s a story about the Italian and Irish crime families of Providence, starting in the 80s. Rather enjoyable thus far, at least for the first hour.
