I guess we shouldn’t make book recommendations to each other, peedin. I had exactly the opposite reaction to each of those.
Gone Girl is one of those books that I was meh on, but I feel really averse to ever reading more from the author, which usually isn’t true for books I feel meh about.
Finished Seanan McGuire’s Beneath a Sugar Sky. I enjoyed it, although much of it takes place in a setting I’m not very interested in. Down Among the Sticks and Bones, another book in this series, is also great in one setting, and not in the other, in my opinion.
Started Time for the Stars, by Robert A. Heinlein.
I’ve read all of her books, and it’s actually the best IMHO. So you can probably cross her off your list.
Good to know. Though in our topsy turvy preferences, maybe it would turn out it’s my least favorite of her work!
