KIA repair in Central Arkansas

Electric power steering failure.

I don’t believe the garage I use, having changed hands, can work on this or admit they are not qualified.

Does anyone know of a competent garage in the LR NLR metropolitan area that is qualified for such repair? The dealer we selected is not terribly communicative, and we will select other repairs at a different business.

Hmmm? Lemme look. BBS

I’ve used Discount Tire & Brake NLR for 15 years. They’ve replaced coil packs, ball joints, brakes, tires, shocks and other repairs for me.

6001 John F Kennedy Blvd

Before that I used John Miller Tire for 20 years. He finally retired and closed. His son works at Discount Tire now. He’s behind the desk scheduling.

DJs Auo repair.

NLR on Carnegie. 501 834 3000.

They have great reveiws.

I am deeply disappointed that no one was killed in action trying to repair something using a bumper jack in this thread.

You might also post this in an Arkansas specific forum on Craigslist or Reddit to target it at people who are in the area.

Give it time. We’re only 6 7 posts in and this is Arkansas we’re talkin’ about. The original home of Git ‘R’ Done!

I resemble that statement.

I think “git er done” was some comedians tag line.

ETA Larry the Cable guy was from Nebraska. His southern accent is affected.

Yes, Larry the Cable Guy.

No, for real - the last memory I have of Larry the Cable Guy is someone talking about him during a PE class when I was in high school.

His heyday was probably 20+ years ago, when he was part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He still tours, apparently, and hosts a comedy channel on SiriusXM, but he might be even better-known among younger people now as the voice of Tow Mater in the Cars movies.

Oh shit, you’re right - I knew he was Mater but I learned about that much more recently, so he’s come up at least once since high school. But I can’t remember when that actually happened.

Beck, you are absolutely right, Larry the Cable Guy is from Nebraska, so my fault, not yours.

Parkway Automotive is located at 708 Kirk Drive not too far from Costo. They’re not the cheapest place to go, but they’re reliable and honest. A few years back they made some repairs on my wife’s trucks that cost us several thousand dollars and didn’t fix the problem. I went to talk to them about it expecting a big fight but that didn’t happen. They looked at situation, recognized they were at fault, and made they ended up making the repairs they were supposed to make in the first place.

I know bringing up a mistake doesn’t sound like a ringing endorsement. But they were so quick to recognize their mistake, where it was made, and to eat nearly $4,000 in expenses really cemented their reputation with me. This was the first problem we ever had with them and it was taken care of very quickly and in a satisfactory manner.

Finally. I’m vindicated.

Yep, we got it done.

He grew up near Pawnee City, NE and now is raising his family near Lincoln, where I live. So far, for the past 40+ years I have managed to avoid being anywhere near where he is appearing live.

And no one was even killed in action!

Thank you. Not sure I’d wanna be near his act either.

I got a funny story about something like this, but it was Bolivia, not Arkansas.

Diagnosing a battery, and replacing the actual problem, the alternator at no cost is what led me to George Jett. He retired, and the joint gradually became a normal make money at all costs garage. Thanks.
