According to the link in the OP, his “serious burns” are only first degree- nothing life threatening or even disfiguring. It is totally appropriate to laugh at this moron’s lack of judgement. ---

Sorry for the “me too” post, but I fully agree with Mr Visible. There’s nothing to laugh about in this story. At worst one could think about the stupidity of people in general and teens in particular, and sigh, but it’s definitely _not_ fun. The boy is in pain on a hospital bed, and either you guy lack empathy, either you don’t fully realize the situation. ---

I don’t wish death on him, nor am I laughing at him, nor do I care if he does or doesn’t sue Jackass. All I know, is that when I was **5 years old** (maybe even 3 years old), I knew fire=burn=owwee. This kid is 15 (as if we all don’t know that already). I don’t have much sympathy for the kid. ---

Well, when I was a kid, I used to light alcohol on my hands pretty regularly, because that sort of thing seems pretty amusing when you’re in your early teens. Used to imitate “fire-breathers” with varying degrees of success, which is probably stupider. I don’t understand why people are so quick to blame “Jackass!” lately. It’s not like they called the program “Really cool guy who you should emulate, if possible!” It never occurred to me to blame “That’s Incredible!” after I had that horrible fiasco with the “Beard of Bees” – after all, they warned me not to try it at home… 😃 ---
