And what happens when he doesn’t? He won’t do anything to earn the money, and he won’t care if he’s a decent person.
There’s something pretty deeply wrong with the kid, and he needs way more help than he’s currently getting. This is nothing we can solve on a message board.
He’s very gentle with Juno. It kinda sucks because Juno is a calming force for my nephew. But it’s obvious to everyone that he hates being held by anyone other than my ex-boyfriend (who, unfortunately, is allergic to the bunny which is why I have him). He doesn’t even like it when I hold him. He’s been this way ever since we got him when he was teeny.
I know that more interaction with my bunny might actually be good for my nephew but I can’t get over the concern that the same interaction could be very bad for the bun. I keep telling myself that I’m NOT a terrible person for withholding bunny therapy but I still feel bad about it.
Also, let’s not forget that the kid apparently sent some sort of obscene or threatening text message to a female classmate who he’s been “been lusting after for over a year.” I find that to be creepy and scary.
You know, I had the same thought that Gulo gulo (and you) had. Where I live, the local animal shelters are always looking for people just to pet the poor kitties and doggies who are stuck in there all alone. I don’t know if it’s practical in your case, but maybe there’s something like that that will present itself.
It said “bitch”. Apparently. That’s all her mom told me. I was pissed. Her mom was pissed - when she thought I did it and that it was directed at her (the mom). But she seemed to be no longer mad when she found out what actually happened. Maybe she just felt sorry for my sister and me and decided to drop it.
I’ll be looking for some sort of summer activity for the boys. I will be watching them all summer again and working all night and watching them all day can by a tad trying. If we all have something fun to do during the day, it might become less stressful for all of us. Maybe horseback riding lessons or something like that. There’s not a whole hell of a lot to do up here. It will probably take a couple of months to find something suitable for everyone. I’ll have my sister ask around at work. Some of her coworkers have kids the same age. All my coworkers have kids my age, or babies. If you guys have any suggestions for entertainment (preferably educational in a fun way) which could be found in a fairly rural area, please let me know. I’m still not used to this type of area. When I was a kid, if I wanted to take a class or join a club, I just had to spend about 5 minutes looking and I’d find at least 10 options.
