Well, shit: “The child was first caught under the SUV’s right tire, the release said. Stagg didn’t stop right away and the toddler was hit again by the rear tire of the vehicle – which weighs about 5,600 pounds, according to the release. Stagg initially told police that she thought she hit a speed bump, the release said.” ---

It says she had two older children removed by child protective services in 2013. Sounds like a real winner. Why the hell did they let someone like that keep those three kids? But hey, it’s Texas! ---

She’s only 26. (And has had at least five kids already.) She’ll be locked up for about two years, it looks like. She, and some other child not yet born, are going to be in the news again. ---

This will be a fun game for the kids.” Two kids go one way and she turns the opposite way (because she didn’t intend to run them over in the first place) but the other goes a different way. Being stupid, she never accounted for that possibility and she runs the kid over while she thinks she’s being safe and avoiding the first two kids. ---

Hell, sane folks don’t treat _chickens_ that way. I can’t see anyone thinking “Hey, almost being run over by a car will be a fun game for the kids” without at least a lot of OTC cough syrup being involved, probably something a lot stronger. ---

I see the SUV backing up, the kids chasing after it (like they think she’s leaving) and then all of a sudden she stops and starts moving forward. So…she drives straight at her kids, expecting them to get out of the way, right? In front of her apartment, where (I would assume) she often drives. Hits one of her kids, and _ **thinks it’s a speed bump?** _ Parent of the year, right there. ---
