I’ll watch anything that they’re involved in, doesn’t matter if a few jokes fall flat, just as long as there aren’t any flipper-babies. ---

The Kids in the Hall were good, but even in their heyday, every episode had one or two clunkers. Personally speaking, I hated the Chicken Lady bit. I always had to change the channel if that came on. ---

I only watched it a little bit, and not enough to know all their names (save Dave Foley) without looking it up. So, just going by the pics themselves, the guy holding the roses aged the best. The guy leaning over his shoulder looks the most similar to his younger self. The curly-haired guy maintained the expected aging trajectory of his odd looks, IMHO. The tall guy who gained weight and glasses didn’t really age “'badly,” but he looks different. Dave Foley resembles my 79 year-old grandmother. ---

In case anybody’s interested, it was an entertaining show. Some new sketches but a lot of it was taken from old KITH programs. Brought back memories of the early 90’s. Especially for my wife, who had seen them at the same place (the Royal Oak Music Hall) back in 1991 when hardly anybody knew who they were, and the place was almost empty. The place was packed full of KITH fans this time, who started loudly cheering every time they recognized the props for familiar sketches being brought out. As for how they’re looking in person these days (to somewhat address the OP topic), we had really good seats, a few rows back from the stage, and I thought they were all looking pretty good, and still pretty spry for a bunch of old guys (I should talk, they’re no older than I am). Kevin McDonald did an early sketch doing a goofy dance and singing a song about the history of KITH for “those of you who were dragged here by your 41 year old boyfriends”. And my wife and I watched Brain Candy yesterday (it’s on YouTube in its entirety, in 6 parts) and still very funny, I thought. Some of the drug industry and general corporate satire is spot-on. And I didn’t realize when I originally watched it that Mark McKinney as Don Roritor, the owner of the drug company, was doing a really funny Lorne Michaels impersonation (LM was the producer). ---

Wow, I have to be the dissenter. Not that I ever remember any of their names except Scott and Dave, so correct me if I am confused. Scott (“the gay tall one”) does look like himself, but he has certainly aged. He does not look the best-preserved to me. Of course, I always hated Scott. I love Dave (the second shortest and arguably most feminine one) too much to be mean. Or even objective. Kevin (“the dark, curly haired one”) is a pleasant-looking man of a certain age. Bruce (“the short one”) looks fine. Older, stockier, but not so different. Best-preserved I think. Matt or Mark or Mike or whatever his name is (“the huge one”) looks all right.
