There’s already a thread for parental type dopers and their kids’ Halloween costumes, but honestly, screw that! _ **Halloween is for adults** _ to dress up in outlandish, disturbing, sexy (or in some cases, all of the above) costumes. And like all good adults, we’ll behave in ways we’ll later regret, drink too much, watch a scary movie, and wake up on the 1st only to realize we are missing our underwear. So, instead of hearing how cute Bufferton Jr. is in his/her bunny costume, let’s hear what the adults are wearing. I’ve polished up the armor on my Vader costume, updated it with a MasterReplica’s lightsaber, and am reprising my role as Lord of the Sith. Anyone else? ---

I’m wearing my Gothic Lolita outfit. One of the times of the year when I can get away with it, although I’m still expecting to get stared at a lot. Something about a 6’7" woman (6’2" + 5" platforms) wearing all black seems to turn heads. And yes, I’m a guy. ---

I’m putting on some clothes I already have in my closet: black T-shirt tucked into black pants, my most boot-like black shoes, shiny dark red dress shirt unbuttoned over the T-shirt, dark gray trench coat over that. Painting my nails black, dyeing my hair blond, and getting some vampire fangs. I’ll probably walk around with a clear sports bottle of something yummy, dyed dark red. I’m Spike, from _Buffy the Vampire Slayer_! ---

I think even if you aren’t going out on the town, it’s still important to dress up and freak out the wee children. And if you are in a French maid outfit, there’s one more exciting thing you can do: dust my coffee table. I’ll fetch my saw and cut a few inches off the legs. ---

This year I’m dressing as Supergirl, specifically the Supergirl from the first season of _Justice League Unlimited_. I cropped off an old white T-shirt and ironed on the “S” logo, sewed a blue miniskirt and a red cape, painted my old boots red and bought an extremely cheesy blonde wig. I just need to add a black headband and white gloves. This is the first time I’m attempting a costume based on a cartoon character. I’ll post pictures if I can get some decent ones. ---

I’ll be dressing as an information security adminsitrator - flannel shirt worn untucked and unbuttoned over a black t-shirt from a computer trade show, jeans and tan workboots. I’m not going to any parties, and will be [del]bribing[/del] lavishing goodies on the neighborhood [del]hooligans[/del] kids so they’re less likely to commit any acts of vandalism in the area. ---

I’ve decided to go all out this Halloween; I bought some facial appliances and custom-fitting fangs and novelty contact lenses and freaky hands and everything to become a totally kickass werewolf; and I intend to scare the living shit out of the kids that are going to be trick or treating this year…muwahhahah! ---
