This morning while driving the kids to school I was flipping through all the radio stations (as is my wont). I ran across three different Steve Miller songs before finally stopping on “Fly Like An Eagle”. “Whoa”, said my daughter, “did Steve Miller die or something?” “Could be…”, I said, then in my best radio announcer voice, “Steve Miller has slipped into the future.” She parried, “Steve Miller has flown like an eagle.” My son contributed, “Steve Miller is not living in the street!” We continued: “Steve Miller let his spirit carry him.” “Steve Miller has spoken of the pompatus of love.” “Abra-abra-cadaver…” (Refers to a song which causes me to think, “Hocus-pocus, grab me and I’ll kick you in the nuts.”) “Steve Miller was carried away by a big ol’ jet airliner.” Kids’re fun. 😃 ---

It just makes me happy to know that when several stations play a song by the same artist on the same day, I’m not the only one thinking “Oh, did he die?” But your kids _do_ sound fun. 🙂 ---
