Kill the rabbit! Or not

Yeah, I thought about that. I’ll leave the traps set for another few days and see. Thanks.

That was a captivating story, Morgan. Thank you for sharing it here.

Damn mockingbird keeps dropping down inside the tomato cage and eating my wife’s 'maters.

I have 2 dogs that would be scared of a baby rabbit. Mr.Wrekkers hunting dogs are in a kennel. I wouldn’t want a dog that stayed outside all night unprotected. Plus eating wild life would be a no-no. Too many worms and diseases they could acquire.
In the early morning is when I see rabbits. I get up about 6:30 to feed the annoying Cat overlords. Generally I go back to bed for awhile. Lately I’ve taken to sitting on the deck with my gun and picking the little bastard off. I have probably killed 20 this year. The deer don’t care for the tomatoes. The pea patch is a distance from the house. We have electric fencing there. Some deer will still get in, not many though. Right now I am fighting birds in my strawberries. I have bird netting cloth over them. So far, so good.

Get some of the netting cloth and drape it over the cages. Clip it with clothespins. That netting is good stuff.

Even the really big ones are cute.

Rabbits taste delicious, just saying. Killing it though might land you in trouble with your local DNR. You probably need a crop damage permit. They’re pretty easy to get though and you can soon enjoy some delicious rabbit stew made out of non-eaten vegetables and the little buggers that wanted to eat them.

Ah. Catch me if you can. I ain’t cleaning and cooking or eating rabbit in Arkansas. Varmint season is always open especially the ones eating my garden. Just saying.

I’ve rarely seen a funnier video than this high school live action version of “What’s Opera, Doc?”

Popped two filthy rabbits tonight. Took 4 BBs. First shot missed. Second bastard a tough guy.

Gato…are you eating rabbit out there? Tell me true.

You’re welcome. I love introducing people to Urusla’s work. She’s one of my favorite authors.

Okay, so I went back and read it too…Yeah, that was pretty good!

It won a Hugo, so I’d say the fans agree with you!

My brother’s beagle manages to track down and kill at least one rabbit each time we dog sit.

To reduce rabbit problems, we built raised garden beds. The bunnies can’t scale the wall and I don’t have to bend down as far. Win-win.
