# Killer monkeys!

This is tragic, but also kind of freaky: [Monkey attack kills Delhi leader](http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/7055625.stm). The deputy mayor of Delhi died after falling from a balcony while being attacked by monkeys.

I’ve met monkeys in India and Nepal, and they’re some scary bastards.

Also, I got mugged by a macaque in Hong Kong - he wanted the bag of unshelled peanuts I was carrying, and leaped out of a tree onto the path in front of me. He then pointed to the bag, which I hid behind my back. His response was to bear his teeth and hiss at me in a very threatening manner, so I had to give 'em up. He then went back up the tree and ate the peanuts, and threw the shells at my head.

Beware the killer monkeys.

Yes that’s what you need when you have a killer monkey problem - gangs of even more dangerous monkeys roaming around the place.

I prefer this thread, there’s far less amusement over the tragic death of someone.
