Wow. Up until I saw a magazine cover, and now this thread, I thought it was spelled “Kim Jong II.” As in, 2, or the second. So it’s Il…not sure I like this. And I always said it “King Jong” in my head. Am I alone here? ---

I think most people are aware or wouldn’t be suprised that he tortures people/his own citizens and has his own concentraion camps… regular run-of-the-mill dictator stuff. Not him though, he sent cronies to _another country_ and kidnapped a director to make a remake of Godzilla and other movies? That is just _soooo_ strange it boggles the mind. ---

North Korea also kidnapped a number of young Japanese girls and took them back to NK to teach the language to their spies . They have been disappeared for a couple decades now so these young girls would be middle aged women now. ---

They’re the same folks who are sitting on a country that’s been starving for a decade, sends commandos to infiltrate South Korea on a regular basis, digs tunnels under the DMZ, tries to assasinate South Korean politicians, kills Americans in the DMZ with axes, attacked the USS Pueblo on the high seas, kidnaps Japanese civilians to train their spies, test fires missiles over Japan without warning… I’d be great if someone deposed him, but I’m not sure there are any sane people in leadership over there. ---
