I’ll check next time I’m there. I don’t remember for certain, as I’ve only bought it there once (although it was just about a month or two ago). I seem to recall it being in the refrigerated section where they sell stuff like fresh noodles and deli meats and cheeses (so, at least in the stores I’ve been to here, it’s the “open air” refrigerated section towards the interior of the store as opposed to the “closed door” refrigerated section at the very edges of the store. It was actually pretty decent, although I go to a place called “New Chicago Kimchee” for all my kimchi needs, whenever possible.
Would that be deep dish kimchi. ?
If you aren’t sure whether or not you’ve smelled kimchi before then you haven’t. It’s not something you will forget easily. The closest thing to it that I can think of is pickled sewerage that has been left in a large trash can in the sun on a blistering hot day.
