After starring in about 100 movies, she will always be remembered for her role as the love interest of “King Kong”. After a career spanning 7 decades, [Fay Wray](http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0942039/) dies at 96.

I think we should get together a group to go up to the top of the Empire State Building and throw her ashes off… or some facsimile thereof. She was great in tha role.

Bummer. I was hoping PJ would give her a cameo in his remake.

My first thought was, “Holy crap! You mean she _just_ died?” I thought she’d passed on ages ago. A shame she’s only remembered for one film out of a hundred.

I had hoped she would live long enough to have a teensy cameo in the newest _Kong_ [incarnation](http://imdb.com/title/tt0360717/) scheduled for release next year. (Andy “Gollum” Sirkis plays Kong.) She’d have made a great love interest for Jack Black.

In her honor, I think we should all spank our monkeys.
