Alana was even weirder than she was edited to be. “I would do everybody here!” “My husband and I have a trailer full of comic books, so I don’t have to study!” She was an expert in chess and comic books and failed pretty badly at both. If there had been a swimming challenge like she was bragging about, she probably would have drowned. Genevive’s Kevin-Smith-was-mean-to-me crying jag was worthy of a 12 year old. And Rubic’s Cube girl was like her 10 year old hanger-on. My husband was digging the panty-shorts she was wearing while Virgil coached her. He was enjoying them so much, he didn’t even notice that she was crying like a baby at the thought of losing. I don’t like Team BlackTrophy. Team Orb of WTF continue to win because of the generosity of Team Blasphemy giving it away. If Blue loses again, they may have to shake the teams up after. One more thing: I like this show because it looks so very unscripted but if Genevive has an asthma attack like the previews hint, then I call terrible cliche manufacturing. ---

Glad I don’t have to listen to Alana anymore. She just always sounded so \*sad \*and whiny. It is no wonder she was the outcast on the team, if that was how she behaved all the time. ---

When Alana mentioned having a Husband I was like, “Wait. WHAT?!” I suspect her “Husband” is actually a Battlestar Galactica Action figure or maybe a Volleyball with a face painted on it. ---

Again, I think the edit may be cutting out important stuff, because I really thought both Alana and Genevieve won their respective “debates” (and unless they cut out a lot, those were speeches, not debates). Particularly, catching Joshua in a factual error should have won Gen the match, and the rest of her speech was better than his as well. (though I would have used Lex Luthor and the Joker as examples before Mr. Mxyzptlk) Honestly, as much as I like Kevin Smith and Jay, I think they might have been a little sexist in their judging. They seemed to give condescending compliments to the girls and then throw it to the guys anyway. Celeste’s freezing up obviously hurt her and Danielle did well, but it stunk that the last two didn’t even get to go. They should have kept the judging secret until the end. But man, those superhero trivia questions were _hard_core. I only got two right, and one was a complete guess. Granted, I’m not the hugest comic nerd around, but I’ve got an above average exposure to them and a good memory for details, and they were _really_ hard. I hadn’t even heard of most of the names thrown around. Glad to see Alanna gone, though. ---

Last night’s episode was enjoyable with difficult, but entertaining challenges, but I was hoping the outcome would be different. I was hoping Josh would win only because of how big of a douche Ivan was being towards the other team for voting for him. The pink girl’s snark is funny in small doses but last night she was out of control and really rubbing me the wrong way (insert your “rubbing me the right way” joke here). ---

I’m sure it killed Celeste that there were Rubix cube’s but they didn’t actually have to solve them, so her killer skills were of no benefit. But they still won. ---

The Nerd off was basically a game of Concentration where they had an array of items in pairs and you had to pick pairs by remembering where they were. The catch was they had people throwing tennis balls at you and a Sumo Wrestler (really!) blocking the board when you approached it. Re: The girls. They got drunk and extremely flirty but I don’t recall either of them showing anyone their butt. ---

Me watchin last epsiode: “Man, there are an awful lot of Batman T-shirts on this show. Why would one person need more than one Bat— \ … never mind.” I also noted that the nerds on this show get drunk a lot more than most nerds I know. I’m still rooting for Genevieve and against Danielle. Ivan would get my support if not for that weird “look me in the eyes” bit. What was up with that? weirdo… ---

Normally, the contestants would be reading comic books, playing video games, watching TV, etc. In the house, though, most of those options are off the table. They say that Virgil’s heart grew three size that day. Genevieve has always been an immature crybaby but compared to Danielle, she’s an elder statesman. And you gotta love how she studies – actually studies-- to win. That being said, I’m getting behind Moo. She’s just a normal NASA scientist. Next week is the penultimate show? Are they eliminating three people? I wonder if the teams would have voted differently had they known the teams were breaking up. ---

I was also surprised there were only two weeks left but then I realized most reality shows end when they have four contestants left which is what they will have after next week. From the editing I figured we were being set up for a Virgil loss and sure enough… FWIW I actually liked both songs (and they are both already on YouTube is you search for kingofthenerdstbs). I think the hook of the Blue team’s was the more catchy one but liked the verses of the Orange team’s better. If I had to vote for one I would have probably gone with Blue. ---

Yeah, I think Blue was robbed by the judging again. I was cringing all through the rehearsing, but was shocked at the actual performances being… not terrible. Amazing what a good producer can do with autotune. So it looks like, unless Ivan pulls out a miracle, we’ll actually have a _Queen_ of the Nerds. As long as it’s not Danielle, I’ll be happy. ---
