Well I’ve gone and signed up myself as a…turtle…dude. My character’s name is Rys, and I sent an application to the clan. No idea what I’m doing, but the game looks fun…and it gives me something to do when I’m bored at work. 🙂 ---

After hearing about this game forever, I’m giving it a try. Though I have little idea what I’m doing. Went with BurningDog because this is the first place I heard of the game, and I wanted something impressively adventurer-ish. ---

Just bouncing this to let everyone in Friends of Cecil know that it looks like the next big batch of new content will be clan related. Apparently we can build a basement under the clan hall and it will connect to a large, _multi-player_ dungeon. It’ll be a clan dungeon, like in WoW. Like a quest that takes five or six thousand adventures, but all of the people in the clan work on it. There’ll be like seven zones down there. A ton of content. Normal mechanics will be totally more complicated, because it’s the first truly multiplayer thing in KoL. The bosses and monsters are going to be harder than anything else in the game, except maybe the NS pre-NS13. It’ll be possible to see everything, and it’ll cost a lot if one person foots the entire bill, but there will be advantages in every area of gameplay to having this open, so that’s the logic behind the price. Good consumables… good stuff. Some different stuff. So this is why it’s taking us so long. It’s also taken a lot of planning just conceptually, like what happens when people change clans, or if a clan is disbanded… we think we’ve come up with a good way of handling it. So lots of new items, stuff to get. There’ll be speed leaderboards for this as a clan. Lots of spading will be required. Doing this solo, seeing everything, can take weeks… but ten people (or less) may be able to do it in a day or so. ---

Sweet! I am FINALLY out of Bad Moon, FYI. It got a lot easier as the ascension went on, I think because I was actually advancing “at my level” instead of having spells and stuff that made it possible to be “ahead of myself”, so I was a lot stronger when I got to things than I usually am. Now I’m back in hardcore and it’s really, really weird. ---

All comers welcome, of course. As Tanstaafl noted, there’s some new content that will be somehow collaborative within the clan, and it will be especially helpful for upper (10+) level characters to play along, we think. Meanwhile, join the crowd and raid the stash and use the workout equipment. –Spung (I hope the Hobo angle relates to John Hodgeman’s book. As in, Walker Evans, the Hobo-Hunter) ---

Hi, just checking in. I’m up to level 14 as a disco bandit, this is the best no-brainer time-waster, my brain needs a break I’ve ever found. What’s the best thing we can do for the clan. Are we better off selling stuff in auto-sell and depositing the meat or just off-loading extra items in the clan stash? I took a lot of Doc’s elixers earlier because I missed the Doc quest. BTW can we ask for help here? I am stuck trying to get thru the Gate that’s not a Gate in the last quest and can’t figure out how to get what I need. sinjin ---
