My wife and I asked the same question. I suspect he actually did commit suicide. The video sort of had a suicide-note flavor to it. I thought this was a very strong episode. All sorts of intrigue, all wrapped up very well, and the King/David sublot was done extremely well. It’s a real shame that this show was canceled. It should have been made for HBO, where it would have been given more of a chance and could have survived with a smaller audience. You have to think that if a major network had attempted to air something like Deadwood (minus the profanity) or even the Sopranos, they would have suffered the same fate. ---

I don’t think the plot could be kept going for more than a season. _West Wing_ did, but there are those fans who will argue about that. 🙂 I presume David is going to replace the King, and the show would lose it’s main star and greatest character. ---
