Ah. Pictures. Yes, I’ve got pictures. As soon as ImageShack allows me to put them online… here!
None of an actual pacifier, since I don’t have any human children to take it from. I’ve got plenty of him sucking on a bottle or a hand, though. Mostly hand. Perhaps that will suffice.
He’s a tough one to catch in his most hilarious acts. As soon as he figures out you’re trying to document him this is what happens: 1, 2, 3. You have to admit, it’s pretty impressive that I managed to make my computer take that picture even under heavy enemy fire.
Thank you all for your help. Those are interesting links, purplehorseshoe. Maybe eventually he’ll start using his surroundings more, but so far he’s pretty disinterested in anything that doesn’t squirm when he bites the hell out of it.
My cat does this as well. She will lick your arm until the tiny little tongue feels like SANDPAPER. Recently, she’s substituted this cat toy, though - even if the catnip is long gone from it, something seems to attract her to it.
I was going to say – if he didn’t have on, all he’d really need to do was take that critter on a walk, cradling it like a baby. Or print those linked pics on a t-shirt. He’d be knee deep.
My cat is 10+ years old and still does this. He’s chilled out some but still takes the kneading to extremes (at night while I’m trying to sleep) and if he sees my nip exposed he’ll go for it, despite being tossed off the bed within milliseconds every time he tries it. He used to try to suckle on my eyebrow if he couldn’t find nippage.
