When I was a kid, we had a cat named Pud (rhymes with would). He was named adter the noise his front feet made hitting the kitchen floor when he jumped down off something. Later, my sister had a cat named Roumey. And I had one named JP, for Jean-Pierre. ---

Cute kitty – congrats! We just sent ours off to heaven on Wednesday. ☹ Our neighbors had a cat named **Godzilla** – we thought that was a great name. My husband wants to name our next cat, **Five**. Am I the only person who wants to see this cat named Kafka? I mean, I’ve wanted to get a Doberman named him Kafka since highschool English, but a cat is close enough. I can’t believe that no one has suggested Sartre or Camus, yet. I also like Faulkner, but he just happens to be my favorite author. ---
