I was twenty when I named my cat [Tenzing](http://www.flickr.com/photos/therese_mccormick/58726197/). Yeah, after [that Tenzing](http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/02/16/1045330467328.html). What about **Mugwump**? I always thought that was a great cat’s name. Or, from Shakespeare - **Malvolio**. Though that might be more appropriate for a ginger fellow, 😃 . ---

OK, I’m Barracuda, not Movingfinger, but that last foto is Dale Earnhart Jr. to the life. I vote for Dale or Ernhart. And I hate you for reminding us that we NEED a kitten. Our 4 cats are 4-5 years old and we love them all, but nothing is like a little bundle of fur, terrorist though it may be! ---

And yes, he really does answer to it; we spent a lot of time with him when he was a kitten getting him to associate his name with nibbly nummies, and now he comes when he’s called. So it’s not entirely hopeless. 🙂 ---

I like Q\*Bert. We have an Albert, and there is something especially appealing about sticking a “bert” ending on things. Like Dilbert. So, mine gets called Catbert and Fatbert and Fuzzbert and Fluffbert and Pinknosebert and yes I am strange. Up with Bert! ---

Ack. There’s so many awesome names in here, and I keep testing them out on him, and nothing suits the little bugger! And though I’d love to call him Schroedinger, I brought him home in a cardboard box and he considers it a fun place to hide. Don’t wanna have to be scared to check up on him. 😛 I love Tybalt, Mercutio, Stephano, Sebastian, Kafka, Camus, Zephyr, Iago, Occam, and basically everything else suggested. For some reason the name “Tompkins” keeps coming to my head, but where on Earth it comes from I don’t know. ---
