> And yes, I wanted to reach through the screen and gently slap some sense into her when she said that. I want to scream whenever I hear a TV/movie character complain about being fat while pregnant. Pregnant women are not fat. Period.

Obviously, pregnant women are fat, at least around the middle, where the woman’s uterus is bulging with a big wad of fetus. A lot of women also get fat in other areas, and some of them stay that way permanently. That’s just reality.

The opening sequence to the movie is a great depiction of the prolonged adolescence some of us get to enjoy well into adulthood. Putting a plank across the swimming pool, then fighting on the plank wearing boxing gloves that are _on fire_ – brilliant.

The bra during sex was glaringly out of place. It would have been far far better to just arrange the sheets to preserve Ms. Heigl’s modesty. As it was, it got me to thinking about the terms of her contract, which is about as far out of the story as you can get.

[QUOTE=scout1222]
I groused about that myself. I actually leaned over to my BF and said "If he was really going to East L.A., he wouldn’t be going that way.

Actually, that same gripe pissed me off with _Little Miss Sunshine_ as well. NO WAY was some of that Redondo Beach. GRR

Also, he’s illegal. How did he get a job, a car and an apartment that easily?

This stuff is always annoying in movies. Even the carefully arranged sheets are really annoying, the guy is always bare-chested while the girl is always covered. :rolleyes:

I’ve always felt that if you can keep yourself covered by the sheets while having sex, you’re doing it wrong. 😉

No, they’re not. A woman with a baby in her belly and little extra poundage beyond baby weight is not fat.

As I said, that’s a completely different issue.
