I’m not sure how to ask the same thing for a third time, but I’ll try. Your cite indicates that a Pentagon study will be done. But it doesn’t say that the Pentagon study must make a finding regarding whether DADT repeal affects readiness.

You are a fucking idiot. THE PRESIDENT, THE DEFENSE SECRETARY, AND THE CHIEF OF THE JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF MUST ALL CERTIFY THAT IT DOESN’T AFFECT READINESS OR IT DOESN’T BECOME LAW.

Is that clear enough, COUNSELOR?

Gotta wonder about a “lawyer” who can’t read a fucking law and understand it.

I think I see what you’re missing, here is another cite:

Is this more clear?

The Republican voters in Utah are working on the problem: [Utah Senator Bennett Loses Republican Party Renomination Bid](http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-05-09/utah-senator-bennett-loses-republican-party-renomination-bid.html).

Hmm - at age 76, and having served three Senate terms, he’s only the [“junior” Senator](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Bennett_(politician)) from Utah.

Well, the other one is Hatchasaurus rex, whose birth in the shadows of the dawn of time was unwitnessed by man.
It should be noted that repeal of DADT does not automatically allow homosexuals to serve in the military. All it does is push things back to the pre-1993 status quo, where the bar to service was an executive/military policy rather than statute. If the repeal goes through, the ball moves back into the President’s/Pentagon’s court, and some of us don’t really have the most optimistic view of what happens next, given the behind-the-scenes maneuvering that’s been going on.

A hijack, and a show-offy one at that, but something I noticed this Memorial Day IRT DADT:

Prominent among the music played on Memorial Day is \*\*Samuel Barber’s \*\*_Adagio for Strings_, by dint of its use in Oliver Stone’s _Platoon_. Barber himself had served in the army air force in WWII, when national defense overrode the level of scrutiny we somehow feel the need to now impose during the War on Terrorism.

“Now Private Barber, we aren’t asking any specific questions about your private life. DoD guidelines prohibit this. What we do need to know is why the repeated three-note theme evoking rocking chairs in your _Knoxville: Summer of 1915_ is almost identical to the same three-note repetition in your barracks-mate’s, Private Menotti’s, _Sebastian_. This similarity pretty much waives both of your rights of 'don’t tell,” doesn’t it, private?"

Next topic: what was really going on in Betsy Ross’ sewing circle?

Also played by the BBC Orchestra [four days after 9-11](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRMz8fKkG2g) as a tribute to those who died.

I was there! Also, I am amused that one of the “video responses” is called “Was 9/11 Orchestrated?” Well, only for strings…

Back on topic - perhaps we should just periodically let off unexpected loud bangs in the Senate. That ought to clear out the ones with bad hearts…
