The Japanese Yakuza and Chinese Triads are well known. With cultural and historic links to both Japan and China, I would assume Korea would have similar borganized crime groups. Do they? Could anyone give me names (ala the Yamaguchigumi and K-14 respectively)? ---

Okay, fine. I don’t know the names, but I can answer the first part: yep, Korea has organized crime. ---

Yep there is organized crime. Googling brought up this [www.unafei.or.jp/pdf/58-06.pdf+Korea+organized+crime+name+yakuza&hl=en&ie=UTF-8](http://216.239.51.100/search?q=cache:cdIFLZQVPCYC:%5Burl)]link which mentions a criminal organization named Shinsangsapa. I haven’t been able to find a name analogous to Yakuza though but I presume there is one.
