On another board the rule is “if you don’t like the way we run things then leave.” While there is no such explicit rule here it’s not a bad concept. Also, keep in mind that no-one seems to know what gender Stream _is_. Man-hands is a compliment when applied to a guy. ---

I swear, I’m not trying to derail this thread, but I saw you ask this is the other one that got opened, and I’m not sure what gender has to do with it. I think you can make a pretty good case for ‘it’s not hate speech’, but not an insult? It was surely meant as one when you read the post of the person who originally said it. ---

Gender normally wouldn’t matter–but since Stream has made such a big deal of never sharing it’s gender, it’s hard to take it seriously as an insult. It’s like telling someone “Hey: look at all your facial hair”-if it’s a guy, no big deal, if it’s a woman, it’s not really all that nice. Since Stream has freaked about telling anyone it’s gender, it’s hard to take it seriously as an insult. ---

You are, however, the only one who will not let the matter drop. Hold on to your hat, _I actually agreed with you_ on that one, but once the moderators decided to put them in the Pit I stopped arguing about it, discussing it, or worrying about it. I don’t own this board, I don’t make the rules, I am not a moderator. If I don’t like the rules I can leave, but I have no authority to change them. I might state I have a dissenting opinion about something (and I have on occasion) but I still must abide by the decisions made by people with authority if I wish to retain the reputation as a civilized member of this forum ---
