# Kudos to David B!

Assuming that he’ the David behind today’s Leonardo DaVinci column, [http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mleonardo.html](http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mleonardo.html)

This was a perfect chance for him to portray DaVinci as only an athiest and a skeptic. A lot of serious historians have felt justified to do this. And David is our resident skeptic.

Just wanted to thank you, David, for keeeping your personal views out of the factual column, and presenting a balnced view of the information. I realize that’s to be expected, but a lot of people don’t manage to. (I’m not referring to any one else on the Mailbag Staff. They all do an excellent job.)
