How do you know that, the Kurdish and Hittites are not very close languages?! do you speak Kurdish? or you just have read some theory written by Ottoman empire or Persian empire?!

So Kurdish is part of the Indo-Iranian branch, Hittite is part of the Anatolian branch, and English is part of the Germanic branch of the Indo-European family. Languages in the same branch aren’t close enough to mutually intelligible, but you might occasionally be able to notice that some words sound similar and appear to be cognate with each other. It’s unlikely that you could even notice that two words are cognate in different branches, let alone be able to understand one language from knowledge of the other language. So, no, a Kurdish speaker can’t understand Hittite. This is very well established in linguistics circles. There’s no political debate about this at all.
You might actually be a Kurdish speaker, but I find it extremely unlikely you can read Hittite. Hittite died out three thousand years ago. There are no descendants of it. You would have to be a scholar of ancient languages even to be able to read it. And, of course, nobody claims to be able to speak it, since it’s only known from written sources.
That’s not surprising if you call Iranians Arabs.

I closed this thread because Aram Hittite KURD was spouting incoherent nonsense and beginning to insult his opponents, including accusing them of genocide as in the post quoted above. This was not appropriate for GQ, and considering that AHK wasn’t providing any evidence for his assertions a move to Great Debates would have just resulted in an even worse trainwreck. Upon reconsideration, I’ve decide to reopen it and move it to the Pit so people can express themselves more freely. My apologies to the Pit mods.
