Kurt is actually admitting he believes that bs? I’ve heard a few whoppers from gf’s in college. I never fell for such an obvious lie. I had one gf claim she had grown up riding horses. I had a little riding experience. So, for a date we went to a riding stable. She wouldn’t even get into the saddle. Scared to death when she saw how tall that horse was. ---

And I would have loved a BF that would think of taking me to a hacking stable for a date … with 2 exceptions I think every BF I ever had was scared of horses. ☹ My husband would love the land to support a couple horses but 3 acres just is not enough. ☹ ---

She may have had access to work-outs / training given her company. She may have been given as a gift certain training courses and perhaps has openly embraced all of that as a lifestyle. She might be fully capable the way a well-trained military person could be… but she’s still not a “Covert Assassin”. A distant acquaintance (GF of a distant acquaintance really) actively believed in college that she could be a Thunder Cat. :smack: Obviously, it was an obsessive attachment to an idea, and as friends we played along because she could be very sweet. She broke free from her delusion and ditched all of her friends… but years later we heard where she went from there. She had totally immersed herself into a para-military lifestyle to the point where she had people believing that she was a veteran of Covert OPs, etc. She’d make claims of being an expert in urban warfare and how even if surprised in her sleep, she could still kill all of her assailants. Example: “You! What would you do if men break into your bedroom at night firing guns?” “I’d hide behind the bed and shoot back.” “Fool! You’d be Dead! Your mattress is Bullet Magnet!!!” :smack: She had followers and a writer even wanted to write a book about her extensive secret military background. The problem was, writers check their sources. When it came out that she actually had NO military background, she cut & ran from her new friends too. She had read books and had adopted what was written completely and obsessively and then worked out compulsively to get into flawless shape. Still, it, didn’t make her “Special Forces” or a “Covert Assassin” or even “The Lost Little Ninja of The Pecos”. When you wish upon a Star & Whip that sucker really hard, Anyone your heart desires Will die for you… ---

You described her well Count Blucher. Men and women get caught up in the militaristic lifestyle. A little DIY training and they think they’re Rambo. Driscoll may have trained with ex military defense contractors. Its one of the perks of working in that field. But that doesn’t make her a super spy.assassin. She is kind of hot in camo. 😃 Kurt was a lucky dude. ---
