I realize when the interviews that made up _About A Son_ were recorded it was a hot button issue for him, but it seemed to me Cobain was sick of the other members of Nirvana. Kurt wrote the songs alone, they’re his, he was going to quit the band if the fight for the rights continued to get uglier.

They rode his coattails as much as Courtney, albeit they hopped on far earlier.
