How about she grows that mutant thing from Total Recall. “Stabler! you must start the reactors…”

IOW, much like it might happen in real life.

For some reason I thought Jayne was a brunette. Did she not do those bra commercials for full-figured women back in the 70s?

I never realized how much she looks like her mother until I saw these pictures. And I never thought Hargitay was particularly pretty. Sometimes she is, but she has the type of face that can look rather masculine if they don’t do the hair and makeup just right.

They did that on ER with Ming-Na Wen. Considering how little Dick Wolk delves into character on the L&O series, I still think she’s going to get shot. Or maybe some horrible traumatic child-molestation case comes up, the perp gets off on a technicality and ends up killing his victim, and she needs time off to “regroup.”

I believe that’s Jane Russell. Who scares the hell out of me.

She could always get shot and spend a few months “recovering”, as Jesse L. Martin did when he took time off to appear in the film version of _Rent_.

Dear heavens, please don’t let the writers be setting up a Stabler/Benson romance. Yes, they’ve got chemistry out the wazoo, but there is no way it would work.
