There are so many songs like that now. Once the crooners (who could and would enunciate what they were singing) went out of fashion, what you’re left with is Mystery Land in terms of what’s being sung. Drown that out with Threshold Of Pain background and you’re helpless without liner notes. Have you noticed how often the online lyrics contain mondegreens of their own? I prefer instrumentals! ---

My wife, a non native English speaker, thought Steppenwolf’s big hit was “Born in the Wild” And apparently, Hendrix’s big line was “scuse me, while I kiss this guy”.
