[/QUOTE] We’re actually talking about the Pasadena Roscoe’s in this particular case rather than the original. Even with the recent expansion doubling the size of the original Roscoe’s, parking around there on a Saturday night would be misery for everyone involved, and the only bowling to be had in Hollywood on a Saturday night is the $8/game variety. **Rilchiam** , I’d be happy to spot you a few bucks if that will help the cause. By the way, I just spoke with the bowling alley. Here’s an idea of what we’re looking at. Prior to 10pm on Saturday, bowling rates are $5.50 per game, and $4.25 for the shoe rental. At 10pm, the begin their Xtreme Bowling (also known as Cosmic Bowling, Glow Bowling or Rock 'n Bowl depending on where you go – the format where they turn on the black lights and lasers and crank up the music while you bowl). The cost is $16.99 per person for two hours of bowling. So there are a couple of ways we can go with that: a) If we wanted to do the Xtreme Bowling, we should probably push dinner back to 8ish. b) If we want to _avoid_ the Xtreme Bowling (the guy at the bowling alley “warned” me about the large number of teenagers present), then maybe we should push dinner forward to 6pm so we’ll have at least a couple of hours of bowling to get in before the apparent teen invasion. He said there’s a potential that we’d have to wait for lanes, however, because it is first come, first serve. As always, I’m looking for your feedback. Oh, and yes, the bowling alley has a bar. 🙂 ---

[/QUOTE] I feel your pain… I threw my back out on Thanksgiving, and was flat on my back the whole next week. Didn’t make it in to work until this last Monday! However, if I ever meet the guy who invented Valium, I’m gonna shake his hand and buy him a beer! That’s good stuff; never had it before. My wifey is glad I’m not taking it anymore though; apparently it had me babbling quite a bit… Anyways, I’d like to come to the 'fest; but no can make it that night. I have to work the next day. Maybe I’ll be in for the big Dopefest I’m hearing about upthread! ---
