_sigh_ OK, I guess it’s up to me once again. Time to rally the troops, as it were. For a variety of reasons (read: the rest of y’all are too damn lazy), I feel compelled to try to have another Dopefest for the LA and LA adjacent and LA-esque crowd. For some of you, it has been far too long since I’ve last seen you. I owe some of you bowling, I owe others of you sushi, and at least one of you is owed a combination of the two. For some of you, I’ve seen you recently, but would like to see you again. Some of you, I haven’t even had the pleasure of meeting. And for at least one of you, I just want to see what eye-catching shirt you might show up in this time around and if you’re bringing alcohol. (I hope **silenus** will note that I’m not naming names here, for the record.) So, what’s it going to take for me to get you folks out for dinner and entertainment? Do I need to offer flowers? Candy? A sworn statement that I’ll keep at least an arm’s-length distance from you at all times? A promise that I won’t show up if you will? Just tell me! I am proposing Saturday, November 15th simply because it’s the first open date on my calendar, but I am by no means married to the idea. I’m just trying to start a dialog, people. Help me out. Let’s make a plan. I promise to be on my best behavior. ---

That sounds workable for me. I can either be celebrating the defeat of prop 8 or mourning that it passed. 🙂 Either one calls for dinner and drinks. ---

That seems workable to me, I believe. But location is going to be the deciding factor. Yes, gas is cheaper these days, but I don’t wanna drive through to the northern side of L.A. or anything. Even to see **silenus** in a brightly colored shirt. ---

You people are being far too agreeable to this. It’s…scaring me a little. Personally, I would _love_ to do another Roscoe’s gathering since so few people were able to make it last time. However, I am not (necessarily) interested in pushing my own agenda, so please throw out some ideas, people! **silenus** and **mhendo** , no worries – I’d actually like to have this happen more often, so I don’t intend for folks to have to wait another six months for the next get-together. ---
