So I’m new to this whole dopefest thing. How will I recognize you? Will you all be in fedoras and trenchcoats, newspapers discreetly folded to show the _Straight Dope_ column? Will it be obvious, the party of nerdy-looking folks trying to conceal a goat and / or squid from the waitstaff? Should I wander from table to table and ask, “I was wondering how to render _please pass the bacon salt_ in Latin”? ---

While any or all of those should work (particularly looking for squid) usually you just ask for the Cecil Adams party. ---

I want to thank everyone who turned out…a really good crowd despite the long drives for some and the problematic commute due to the fires. You all are dedicated! Unfortunately, thanks to revelations about chicken-on-waffle porn, **Shayna** ’s newly revealed and well-earned ambassadorship, **Queen Bruin** ’s “beer” runs and **Dr. Drake** ’s ignorance being fought in ways previously unimagined, I will never be able to look at Roscoe’s the same again. Ever. You guys rock. 😉 P.S. – **Rico** , at the rate we went, you probably could have made it. I was almost ready for a second dinner by the time we finally filed out of there. ---

I was laughing hysterically at what the chicken was doing to the waffle (seriously, look at them!), and what you can’t see behind **Paladud** ’s head is that **Yeticus Rex** is fingering the chicken.
