I coach high school debate, and that weekend is one of the better Invitationals in SoCal. It also happens to be run by a good friend of mine, so attendance is kinda mandatory even if the kids didn’t want to go, which they do. ---

I vote Roscoe’s, maybe a bar afterward. (On a side note, the menu on their website offers Sweet Potatoe Pie at the very bottom. Is the chain owned by Dan Quayle by any chance?) ---

I just had sushi for the first time in a while and had an allergic reaction. I don’t know whether that was specific to tonight’s sushi, but I don’t want to risk it at a Dopefest until I collect more evidence. And considering I don’t have a job right now, I don’t think I’ll be collecting any more evidence any time soon… ---

What’s a Roscoe’s? Dunno yet if I can make it on the 15th; I will find out a little later… I do know that I’m gonna have to work early the next day, so if I _am_ in, I have to make it a fairly early night (especially if I have to drive back from LA!). ---

Maybe I missed it, but has a specific Roscoe’s been determined? The one at Sunset & Gower in Hollywood? It seems a little late in the proverbial game to bring this up, but the Farmer’s Market (3rd & Fairfax) has an upstairs area next to the food court that’s really conducive to large groups (medium-size groups???). And of course, Farmer’s Market has a great vibe. Umm… will Shayna _really_ be there? ---
