I ended up borrowing a harness similar to the one JAQ mentioned.
It has certainly made managing her weakness much easier. I can help her walk out to her favorite spot on the grass, or hold her hind quarters up while she does her business.
Also, it helps a lot with getting her up and down the stairs.
We have been keeping it on her continuously, and she doesn’t seem to mind it.
