Is it just me or does he look like a young (1960’s-70’s) Dickie Smothers? The one who played bass and straight man to the funnier/zanier Tom? The one Tom always said their mother loved best? ---

I know nothing of his politics, values, shenanigans, religion. But ick. That guy? Are you mad? I can’t even fathom how the question could be formed. He isn’t ugly as home made sin, but he’s about the blandest looking person besides a Ken Doll. Even Ken appears to have a modicum of personality. That man is white bread personified. It’s hard to look at those pictures and even imagine that he has an unprogrammed thought running through his plastic little head. The idea of him being controversial is just, well, odd. Oh, I am a semi-housewife with a newborn, so politics are not really my A game at the moment. If the world wanted me to be politically aware at this stage, the New York Times would be printed on Pampers. This isn’t some sort of whoosh is it? I mean, he is a real person right? Not some CGI generated-doesn’t-look-like-any-ethnic-group-focus-group verson of a non-demographic guy? ---

I usually vote Republican, and Santorum’s head looks like a horribly enlongated egg, pointy side down, with a toupee. Give us women a little more credit, please. ---

Good GOD no! Even if I didn’t hate him with the fiery passion of a thousand burning suns, he’s far too Ken-dollish and geeky (the BAD kind of geek, not the good kind). Hell, John Kerry looks like Herman Munster but HE’S sexier than Santorum. ---

Santorum is very stupid, and demonstrates this stupidity when he makes speeches on the Senate floor. Stupid is as stupid does. He is less sexy than Forest Gump. ---

Well, Santorum isn’t as bad as, say, Newt Gingrich, but he’s got about the same amount of charisma as John Kerry: very little, very boring. Also, consider that he doesn’t have a prayer in 2006. He’s going to be very embarassingly trounced by a very high margin. This isn’t just my opinion, it’s also the opinion of even the most faithful & optimistic Republicans, and I believe the RNC will see it the same way and put him at the bottom of the heap for fund & money allocation. He has no chance in 2008. The GOP field in 2008 is horrible (you know they’re scrapping the barrell if Gingrich’s a serious contender). I truly believe 2008 will be a repeat of another 1992, with a third party contender racking up many votes. The marriage between paleos and the rest of the party has always been rocky, and the immigration issue will be splitting the Republican party. If that happens, Bill Frist will probably get the nomination. If the paleos somehow decide to give the GOP “one last chance” as they did in 1996,1998,2000,2002, and 2004, they probably will push George Allen over the edge. Still far too early to make predictions, but that’s what it looks like to me. That being said, this thread has made me wonder if males have a similarly poor idea of what females perceive as handsome. I can’t tell beautiful either… I always thought Paris Hilton would be the ideal of beauty but nearly every guy I know that expressed an opinion on her calls her ugly. ---

Women think men want the anorexic Lindsay Lohan, but men prefer the ‘mean girls’ Lindsay Lohan, even though any high school woman will do in a pinch. If I were gay I’d want a guy who looks like Santorum. ---
