Ladies: Do you know when you ovulate?

Hm, I’ve had that severe pain before too, but mine was the result of a burst ovarian cyst. Have any of you ladies talked to your doctors about that before?

I know if my right ovary lets one go. Mostly it’s the shrieking that gives it away.
The left side I never hear a peep from.

Me, too. Right down to the sides. I wonder if leftie just doesn’t work…

Oh, I can always tell. Tender breasts, some mild pains, and insomnia.

{goes and looks in medicine cabinet} - Apo naproxen for mittleschmirtz. It works like a damn. Ask for it by name at your local doctor! {/drug commercial} It really does work, though - one pill and the pain is gone for another month.

Me too! My doctor just recently prescribed this for me for period pain and it works ridiculously well!

Is this Aleve (I recognize naproxen), or something else, since there’s apo in front of it?

If it is, sadly, it doesn’t do a damn thing for me. :frowning:

My cycle is far too irregular to keep track of a date or pattern in which it will occur next (sometimes it will be as much as 6+ months late). I have to rely on external cues.

I don’t know - it doesn’t seem to have any brand names when I look it up. It does say Naproxen on the vial, so maybe it is the same as Aleve.

My GF gets the mittleschmerz, although sometimes she misses it if it happens at night and doesn’t wake her. The mucus is a good indicator also.
