If my date stuck “Let’s Get it On” on his stereo when I was already in the mood, I would probably giggle at the hilarity of it, then get on with things. It doesn’t turn me on. ---

Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe - one of the most joyous songs I ever heard. When I hear this song, no matter where I am, I feel like bursting into spontaneous dance! … As for the low-register heavy breathers, “oh baby, baby, baby” - they are so over the top they make me giggle. Silly cliche. ---

I wouldn’t be able to think of anything except [this](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGOohBytKTU) (Youtube link) and thus, I’d probably start laughing. But it’s pretty irrelevant–as a 24 year old woman, I very much doubt any of my dates would put on Barry White except as a joke. ---

As with so many other things, context is everything. If we’re already at that stage of the relationship, and he hits the play button with a twinkle in his eye, I’m all for it. If he’s trying to hurry things up or manipulate me, he’s going to be disappointed.
