I know it’s typically expected for women to clean up their pubic area as guys usually don’t want to encounter a jungle down there. But as a guy, I never thought if the same was true for us. My recent lady friend made a comment about it and it prompted me to grab a comb and scissors and trim the jungle a bit. Ladies, do you prefer trimmed pubes, shaved pubes, or a jungle so thick you get lost in it? Is it a deal big to you? ---

I have no preference, until you get to completely bare. Don’t like it. But if I like the guy attached to it, it’s not a deal breaker, it’s just not my favorite presentation. I have no preference for women, either. I sometimes trim, sometimes leave it natural, sometimes defoliate completely. Mostly depends on my whim, and a bit the weather. If you don’t want to play in my jungle, there’s plenty of Tarzans who do. ---

I expect that if they want less hair there for the lady part, they’ll keep their part and have similar less hair in their part. So far it hasn’t been an issue. ---

On a male partner, I prefer _some_ maintenance. A clean-shaven pubic-region looks creepily pre-pubescent to me, and the stubble can be unpleasant. But on the other hand, no maintenance whatsoever has the potential to interfere big time with giving oral (unless you’re naturally not very hairy at all). Rule of thumb: if your pubic hair is lengthy enough to get ingested during a bj, you need to scale back. ---

I’m not a fan of bare because babies are bare and then there’s stubble. Don’t like stubble anywhere. I also don’t like plucking pubes from my teeth. A happy medium with some trimming is nice. I trim mine, you trim yours, nobody gets pubes in their teeth. ---

I prefer my male and female partners to not be completely smooth. Some maintenance is nice, but I don’t mind bushy either as long as it’s clean. ---

Is it a deal big to you? The whole “women shave their pubes” is something that has arisen in the past generation, it certainly wasn’t a concern back when I was dating and mating. Frankly, while I prefer guys to have some hair because it looks manly to me as long as what he has is clean and well groomed I don’t really care. The comment made above about length control if you like blow jobs applies. Hair on the rest of you… like I said, as long as it’s clean and groomed (in other words, comb your hair, your beard if its long enough, trim any wild and out of control nose/ear/eyebrow hair) I’m OK. It’s your body and your hair, so in the end it’s your choice. OK, not a fan of the comb-over, either. I will admit to a preference for either a bald pate or a well done toupee over a comb-over. But it’s your hair so if you opt for comb-over I won’t say jack. It’s not an inherent deal-killer if that’s what you’re wondering. I guess I fall into the “not a big deal” camp. ---

If they’ve verbalized something about how they expect or prefer a look, they should be open to know that I would like the same from them, or at least think that it is within the realm of possibilities that I would like them trimmed at the least, as well. So far, again for me, most of those that have gone so far as to mention a preference also tend to apply to themselves what they ask of others. ---

Manscaping is a very good thing! The natural look isn’t a deal breaker for me, though. I figure that once we’ve gotten to the point where I’ve seen how a guy’s manly bits are groomed, it’s a done deal. But still, I always appreciate a nicely trimmed area to work with. It just makes going down town a lot better. 🙂 ---

It’s a big deal for me. I think it’s considerate for a man to do some trimming. Oral sex is more pleasant without a mouthful of hair. Trim that jungle. ---

Great thread. I have learned a great deal. And want to clean up the garden. But, it is difficult to see the area, due to a large belly. It would be difficult and possibly dangerous with a mirror. And at this moment, I don’t have a gf, to help. Are there salons for this sort of grooming? ---

Not a big deal. Also: I don’t care if a guy has chest hair or no chest hair. My long-time guy has no chest hair but I do recall enjoying it with other guys, back in the day when no one waxed their chest. I find the waxed chest a real turnoff. Part of that is just me thinking “ouch!” But hey, if you like it, don’t worry about me, 'cause I’m never going to be back in the dating pool anyway. ---
