Only if I loved the guy. I’d want a regular band to wear for the 340 days of the year that it would be too much, though. ---

No. I don’t like diamonds and wouldn’t wear a stone of any sort of that size. ---

Would I wear it? If I was a rich chick marrying a rich star athlete who could easily afford such things, sure. If I were me and marrying a school teacher or something, I’d be a little confused as to what drugs he’s selling to afford such a thing. ---

Kris Humphries is a career backup who had his first decent season last year. Of course, he was on one of the least talented teams in the league - somebody had to score some points. $2M for a wedding ring is probably more than Kris Humphries took home last year after taxes and his agents share. Kardashian is the one in this relationship who’s going to have the air-tight prenup. I don’t see this ending well for Humphries. ---

She may have paid for it-- she’s got a reputation of being the Kardashian who is desperate to get married at all costs. I mean, she’s worth something like $35 million. Not my style and it’s a horrendously unethical industry. Also, I’ve got to be with someone with money to burn or who has totally different priorities to me, which seems unlikely. If I ever get married, I’d quite like to wear a plain silver band. ---

My engagement ring is 3+ carats total. 2 carat center diamond with two smaller stones. It does not get worn everyday. It catches on my gloves and it just too much of a PITA to bother with in the lab. I did wear it everyday for about the first year or so. I do wear my wedding band, I picked out a channel set eternity band that is much more comfortable and does not catch. I wear my engagement ring on special occasions only, but if I had a job that did not involve putting on and taking off gloves all day I would probably wear it. If someone gave me a 20.5 carat diamond ring, I would assume that I was of the social class that did not have to do any sort of manual or tedious labor that a ring that large would prohibit and being of that class, a large ring may be de rigueur. ---

Absolutely not. I wouldn’t even get engaged to someone who offered me one because not only would it prove that they don’t know me at all, it would also prove that they think spending $2 million on a stupid ring is a good idea. I’m perfectly happy with my $300 emerald. I can’t imagine my opinion on this changing, even if I suddenly became fabulously wealthy. I don’t care about whether or not the value of diamonds is stable enough for it to be a good investment. I wouldn’t want a ring I wouldn’t want to wear and I think diamonds are gaudy. ---

I actually like big, gaudy rings like that - not to wear every day, and not made of real diamonds. A shiny, pretty ring from Sears for $10 to wear to a Christmas party is perfect for me. So, no, I wouldn’t wear a 20.5 carat diamond ring, but I would wear a $10 one. 🙂 ---

While I’m not a fan of the diamond industry, I do like the style of that ring. I have a couple of cocktail rings (amethyst, topaz, onyx) that are higher profile than that ring. So, I would wear that style, just not with diamonds, and certainly not every day. My rings come out of the armoire a couple times a year. ---

No freaking way. Even if I was going to marry someone who could afford something like that… I don’t like my jewelry that gaudy, for a start, and it is absolutely completely impractical for me to wear something like that. Even the half carat ring I used to wear occasionally tore the rubber gloves I wear in my line of work. Who wants to have to leave their ring at home everyday?
