No, no, no. The rapist has no control in the act. “She was wearing tight jeans. She was walking alone after dark. I heard she’d had sex before. I couldn’t control myself.” I’ve had plenty of anti-abortion people tell me these items. I believe if you give a fetus the right to use a woman’s body without her permission, then rape should be legal (as it pretty much was pre-Roe v. Wade.)
Bricker, do you believe in gay adoption, or is that child abuse. Or only adoption to the “right people” (married, straight ,Christian couples)?
I actually see it as the opposite. In many (most?) cases, a woman seeking an abortion did not intend to get pregnant, she didn’t consent to the pregnancy. The only reason you donate sperm is to facilitate a conception.
Of course its a political cause. I’m subfertile. It took me years - and thousands of dollars to get pregnant. Very little federal funding is being thrown at preventing miscarriage and solving infertility issues (mine was an implantation issue - I had no problem CONCEIVING, nothing stuck. - I probably lost - by your definition - 30 children. I’m also, we discovered, a regular ovulator of many eggs - even without fertility meds, my body regularly releases at least two. Not surprising, fraternal twins run in my mother’s family) And very little federal funding is thrown at health care that would decrease the chance of miscarriage - like making sure women who need bed rest get it. Or making sure women who need hormonal support get it.
