Fingers and toes are crossed over here, ivylass. My mom had breast cancer twice, and has had two radical mastectomies about five years apart. The last was about 20 years ago, and she’s still going strong.
I’ll be praying for a benign report.

I’m still bleeding from one of the incision sites, enough to stain my sports bra. My friend at work who’s had the same thing said it took a couple of days to stop bleeding, but I’m thinking I need Ivylad to take a close look tonight and maybe go to the ER.
I just wanted to pop in here and add my good wishes and hopes that the results return as benign.
I called the hospital about the still-bleeding, and as long as I’m not gushing blood all they would do is rebandage me, which I can do at home. It looks like it’s stopped now, so I’ve got an Ace bandage wrapped around my chest, holding the gauze in place, all underneath my sports bra.
Oh, and I rescheduled my follow-up for May 6. The one next Thu was at 11am, smack dab in the middle of the work day, not very convenient when the boss is traveling for work.
ivylass, I’m glad you’re not going to have to make a trip to the ER. ER’s suck. Meantime, I’ll be sending the best vibes I can muster your way.
Like you’d just lay there thinking, “Well, I’m sure they know what they’re doing.”
I hope you get a good report.
I went for my appointment today. I also had an ultrasound to see if I had fibroids that may have been causing me to have the periods from Hell. No fibroids, so I’m having endometrial ablation on the 13th!
I feel so relieved.

Inspired by your story, I buckled down and got mine last week (I’m 41, so it was the first time).
Negative, thank goodness, but my thoughts are with you.
