I do appreciate your offer but over the last couple of months it has been very difficult getting any of the background material I need, could we leave this open for now?
I must admit I’m reluctant to make the necessary commitment to make the most of your offer. It would mean doing a lot of “catch up” and all the while I would be aware of how (relatively) easy it would be with another type of organism. It doesn’t help that you don’t understand the proposed mechanism!
