Okay, **Fenris** , those definitely qualify as sufficient citations, particularly the last one.
However, most of them don’t say the fans figured it out, they say that someone at DC leaked the information. _That_ could have happened before any of the comics hit the stores, and _that_ would give enough time to re-write Armageddon 2001 # 2.
I have got to learn not to get into arguments with people who know a lot more about the subject at hand than I do.

But trust me. The first couple of crossovers had come out first. I remember it fairly well 'cause I remember the uproar at the the time. And if the first issue hadn’t come out they would have been able to fix the story somewhat. Like by making Monarch chaotic and arbitrary. Kinda like Hawk. 😉

Also, I just checked cover dates (which are always a few months off when they actually hit the stands, for long involved reasons): the first Armageddon 2001 issue was “May” '92, the second was “Oct” '92, _six_ months later.
Plenty of time, even assuming it didn’t come out late (I have no idea if it did or not)

BTW: **Doubting Robert** : I hope I’m not coming across as assholish with all the cites, it’s just that I’ve been making statments like the above for years and most of the time when asked for cites all I can do is shrug and say “That’s how I remember it”. This is the first time I’ve ever been able to make a GD-ish case! So I’m having fun, not trying to ‘fight’.

Man, that’s an understatement. That actress is _painfully_ beautiful. I find myself tempted to by Neutrogena face mask even though I’m pretty sure I have no use for it. The most unbelievable part of the show, more than all the kryptonite mutations, is that a high school girl who looks like that and is _so_ nice only has two guys going all goofy over her. In a real high school, she’d have at least a dozen guys, and probably a couple of the lonlier teachers, swarming around her day and night.

Heck, as soon as I saw the opening credits of the first episode of _Smallville_ I thought “Oh, cool, they cast Annette O’Toole.” _Superman III_ was a stupid movie, but O’Toole was a bright spot.

No offense taken, **Fenris**. I’m just living up to my user name. 😉
I did not remember how far apart Armageddon 2001 # 1 and # 2 were dated; that does give enough time to redo the story and art after the first few comics hit the stands.
Incidentally, I just noticed that on the cover of War of the Gods # 4 (dated December, 1991), Captain Atom does not appear (no big surprise either way, since he should either have been Monarch or been lost in the past, waiting for Armageddon: Alien Agenda), but both Hawk and Dove do appear, as small line drawings. It looks like either someone forgot to remove them, or that they decided no one would notice.

She also has a nude scene in the 1982 version of “Cat People.”

To continue our hijack, **Fenris** , I have just finished rereading War of the Gods # 4. I had forgotten that a number of heroes are temporarily raised from the dead in that issue. When I came to that page, I thought that perhaps that was why Dove was on the cover. But a page or two later, there is a panel showing a live-looking Dove (Dawn) fighting with a very dead-looking Dove (Don), making it obvious that someone thought Dawn was going to survive the Armageddon crossover.
Just one more proof that I was wrong; you were right. Can you forgive me for doubting you?
